Gut Bacteria & Probiotics

You know the deal...you buy a unique, new, special car and then suddenly...you see the same model and color vehicle...EVERYWHERE! Well that's how it's been with me this past year with "gut bacteria" and probiotics. I googled "gut bacteria" (ugh!) wondering if much would come up especially since it doesn't sound like a very scientific name.....whoa! found a bunch....even followed a bunny trail on a recent study by Duke University regarding the damage Splenda does to "gut bacteria". (News Flash: I recently learned that roughly 80% of the cells of the immune system-that thing that fights off disease!-reside in the "gut"!)
